Our History & Timeline

From Survival to Stability, Opportunity, and Ownership

Woman Survival® was founded with one clear mission: to help women move from survival into stability, opportunity, and long-term independence. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a national, multi-pathway initiative supporting women through education, workforce access, athletics, and home ownership.

Timeline of Impact

2009 — The Beginning

Woman Survival® was founded to provide support, education, and opportunity for women seeking stability and a path forward. The organization began serving women locally, focusing on access to training and self-sufficiency.

2010 — Free Healthcare Training Launched

Woman Survival® introduced one of the first free phlebotomy and medical assistant training programs designed specifically for women, removing tuition barriers that often prevent workforce entry.

2015 — Organizational Growth

As demand increased, Woman Survival® expanded its programs and volunteer network, supporting more women through structured training, workforce readiness, and community-based support.

2018 — Expansion Beyond Local Communities

The organization evolved into a broader movement, extending its reach nationally and internationally with workforce development, life skills training, and career readiness initiatives.

2019 — Workforce & Certification Pathways Strengthened

Strategic alignment with healthcare certification bodies and employer pathways strengthened the transition from training to employment, ensuring women had access to nationally recognized credentials.

2021 — Woman Survival® Home Ownership Program Launched

Recognizing that true stability extends beyond employment, Woman Survival® launched the Home Ownership Program to support graduates in accessing affordable new construction homes. This initiative focuses on long-term housing stability, financial responsibility, and generational wealth for program graduates.

2022 — Woman Survival® National Baseball League (WSNBL) Established

Woman Survival® expanded into athletics with the creation of the Woman Survival® National Baseball League (WSNBL). The league was designed to provide accessible, inclusive baseball opportunities for women and girls — including mother-daughter participation — emphasizing leadership, discipline, teamwork, and community connection.

Today — A Multi-Pathway Movement

Today, Woman Survival® offers:

  • Tuition-free workforce programs
  • Nationally aligned certification pathways
  • Home ownership opportunities for graduates
  • Athletic and leadership development through WSNBL
  • Community-centered support built on integrity and accountability

All programs are delivered with transparency, purpose, and a commitment to real outcomes — without reliance on grants, donations, or government funding.

What This History Represents

Woman Survival® is built on the belief that opportunity should not be limited by income, background, or circumstance. Each milestone reflects a deliberate expansion of support — from education, to employment, to ownership, and community leadership.

This timeline is not just history.
It is proof that when women are given access, structure, and support, lives change — and communities grow stronger.
